Quick Update

Hey everyone :)
I just wanted to let you know how I'm doing with my weight loss journey. I'm still going to the gym almost every day - I took Sunday off and I also took yesterday off - my best friend came down to see me and I wanted to enjoy my time with her as much as possible. Since I haven't been in a few days, I'm really itching to get out of the class I'm in now and get to the gym for a night long weightlifting workout. :) I can't wait!!!
Last time I checked, I was down to 180 pounds. So... I've lost 28/63 pounds. :) I'm almost halfway, and even more immediate... I'm almost down into the 170's! It's almost unbelievable to me! I love loosing weight... I love going to the gym... I love proving to myself that if I want something badly enough, anything is possible, even loosing 60+ pounds in a year. I hope anyone else trying to loose weight that they get as much joy and happiness out of is as I do. It's wonderful :).
I'd also like to encourage all my readers to support the efforts for Haiti... I've donated twice so far to a couple different charities and I encourage you all to do the same. The people there do not have the resources to manage their daily lives (noted by the poverty there) let alone the devestation that comes along with the massive earthquake that struck the poverty stricken nation. I've been very impressed with the efforts that I've seen so far - I've heard of Canadians that are going to Haiti to help out wherever they can, millions of dollars being donated to charities, the media coverage encouraging donations, even the facebook games that I already play have made gameplay include and make possible donations from the developers of the games. It's pretty incredible! But still, the devestation present in Haiti needs addressing, so please find a way to donate, whether it's at your local grocery store, through a text, calling a charity, online... and for all my Canadian readers, the government is matching all donations, so even the smallest donation is doubled and helps twice as much. My thoughts and prayers are with the people in Haiti - the people who have lost family, friends, neighbours, aquaintences.... the soldiers from all countries that are there helping out... the volunteers... the charities that are doing great work to help bring the country back to order... Hopefully they, together, can make some positive come out of such an attrocity.
